Why publish the practice

I have a habit of reworking the same pieces and they never see the light of day. This is here to move the finish line: a track counts when it goes up, not when it's good.

Doing it in public is the trick. A small commitment, repeated a lot, is the only kind of practice that has ever stuck for me. I figure that after ten thousand tracks, they should sound pretty good, right?

Built to stay out of the way

Something I'll be adding to for years should cost nothing to run and nothing to think about. It's a static Eleventy build on Cloudflare with the audio sat in R2 — no framework runtime, no database, no bill worth opening.

Adding a track means writing a Markdown file and pushing it. That's the whole publishing flow, and it's meant to be boring: the hard part should be the music.
