From fuzzy ideato polished interface

I'm a front-end engineer who started out designing the UI I'd end up building. Most briefs arrive with gaps in them. The wireframe stops at the happy path, nobody's decided what the empty state says, the buttons don't invite you to interact with them. Helping you fill these gaps is how I can help your idea feel like a premium product that users can trust, rather than a prototype.

Free in the autumn. It's usually music, media and creator businesses that I enjoy the most: from agencies to SaaS products.

    Stream to Shelf

Find where to actually buy the music you stream

Renting music from a streaming service is not the same as owning it. Search any artist and Stream to Shelf shows you everywhere the record can actually be bought — download, vinyl, CD, cassette.

    Bad Brain

A brand system, built into a site

Bad Brain is a social entertainment agency running four services across brands, creators and artists. The brand identity got a full overhaul, so I took those static guidelines and built something their customers can interact with.

    One Thousand Tracks

Practising in public, one track at a time

A public archive of music practice. Finish a track, publish it, start the next one. A thousand of them, eventually.

About

The interesting part of any build is the bit nobody drew.

Every Figma file runs out eventually. What does this look like with no data in it? What happens on a slow connection or when the API returns something nobody planned for? How does an icon tell you it expands a navigational panel? Those questions are the gap between a product users enjoy using and one that feels like a chore. I enjoy filling those gaps with sparkle.

I work on my own, mostly with founders and small teams. Lately that's been music and creator-economy businesses, partly by accident and partly because it's what I'm into anyway. If you think we might be a good fit, let's work together.
